Table Portraits: An Immersive Food Illustration & Shared Dining Experience

This beginner-friendly workshop invites participants to experience food beyond consumption—through observation, creativity, and connection. Guided by artist and ceramicist Mansy Abesamis, workshop participants will learn basic pastel techniques while illustrating dishes, ingredients, and textures inspired by a curated meal from La Carinderia Manila.

Participants will:
• enjoy a curated selection of dishes while learning about the ingredients and stories behind them
• explore approachable soft pastel illustration techniques
• create food-inspired artworks using color, texture, and memory
• gather around a shared table for conversation and reflection
• experience food as a source of creativity, storytelling, and connection

Food and art materials are provided.
