Table Portraits: Malabon Culinary Field Notes

For this special edition of Table Portraits, we step away from the dining table and into the field.

Together with Chef Isi of Eat Matters PH, guests will walk through the Malabon market, meet local food makers, discover different ingredients, and learn about the dishes and culinary traditions that have shaped the city. This immersive experience encourages participants to slow down and pay attention: to the colors of a market stall, the texture of an ingredient, the stories behind a recipe, and the people who make our meals possible.

Participants will:
• explore the Malabon market with Chef Isi
• discover local ingredients, dishes, and food traditions
• engage in guided observation and tasting exercises
• learn beginner-friendly pastel techniques for documenting food experiences
• create their own culinary field notes through drawing and writing
• gather around a shared meal and reflect on the day's discoveries
